The device is also going to be backed with the Windows 10 Home operating system for quicker access to all the latest applications and organized user experience.

The device will feature an all-silver exterior and weighs around 3.4 pounds, which is technically a lot lightweight compared to the other Surface laptops that have been released so far.

Aside from the 16GB LPDDR4 RAM, the Surface Laptop 4 is also integrated with 512GB SSD for superior storage and faster boot-up. As for the all-day performance, the device supports up to 11.5 hours of battery life for all-day productivity.

surface laptop 4 model 1979 leaked

Reports from a few days before showed listings of seven models under the Surface laptop series in the FCC database, where it was listed and approved, hinting at a recent launch. It included devices with model numbers of 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1958, 1959, and 1979. There is lingering confusion whether the 1950, 1951, and 1979 models are going to be under the Surface Laptop 4 series or not.

Further leaked reports suggested that while the upcoming Surface Laptop 4 would retain the design of the current model, it is going to offer both AMD and Intel processor choices for the users. The Intel version of the device is likely going to feature a combination of 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD for storage needs.

Microsoft initially submitted the Surface Laptop 4 to FCC in March and the same was later listed and approved in first week of April. The SAR value in the FCC certification suggests that the device weighs around 1.3 kg, confirming the possibility of the listing being of the Surface Laptop 4. Furthermore, two Surface Laptop 4 models, C3K1952 and C3K1958 have already passed the Bluetooth and Korean certifications.

The listing on Amazon also suggests that the Surface Laptop 4 is going to be priced at $1,762.48 but further details of all the models under Surface Laptop 4 haven’t been revealed yet.
