While the tech enthusiasts have been awaiting the CES 2021 event, it is likely that they now have a new reason to be excited about. Samsung is likely going to release their much-awaited Galaxy Book Go in the event, if the latest rumors and turn of events is to be considered.
Samsung allegedly registered the Galaxy Book Go with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on December 11th, 2020. The device is categorized as Class 9 in the registration. While the users are used to Samsung leaking and launching their smartphones, witnessing it happen with a flagship laptop series was pretty surprising.
If the current information about the device is to be considered, the Galaxy Book Go is likely going to be a successor to the bestselling device, Galaxy Book Flex. The Flex was the first flagship device in the range featuring the stunning QLED display and placed under the Project Athena.
The collective and complete specifications of the Galaxy Book Go hasn’t been released yet but given that Samsung has kept up with all the latest innovations and releases, it won’t be surprising that this new addition is going to be an extremely lightweight and portable device.
The one question that the users are inquisitive about is the chipset used in the latest launch. Is it going to be an Intel, AMD or an ARM chip?
With the few basic information that has been released, the users can expect the Galaxy Book Go to be an ultra-portable device, especially with the inclusion of “Go” in the name. So, it is likely that the device is going to be for the users who need a device while they are consistently traveling.
The application was submitted without “Galaxy” but it wouldn’t be surprising if the device is indeed placed in the Galaxy series from Samsung given the rave surrounding it. It is quite common for Samsung to register the brand names with Galaxy in it but later apply for the trademark for the series a few days later.
The CES 2021 international fair is going to be conducted from 11-14th January, 2021. Although the event is normally conducted in Las Vegas, United States, this year it is likely going to be conducted online, because of the pandemic.
With all the news surrounding the launches from Samsung, it is likely that CES 2021 will witness a lot of new products from this tech brand aside from the Galaxy series devices. Samsung is also expected to launch their brand new range of TV models on the opening day of the fair including the much-awaited mini LED TV.
A new upgrade to the Galaxy Flex might also be in the works. If all of these unravel next year at the event, there is a lot that Samsung is likely going to unravel.
