In a recent report, the Republic of Gamers by ASUS announced on July 12th, 2019 that they are going to be the official hardware sponsor for EXP which is an e-sports gaming series developed by ESPN. This series has been in the limelight as a medium for ESPN to extend their e-sports coverage across multiple platforms to enrich the taste of every sports fan.
The EXP Summer tournaments this year kicked off on July 11th, 2019. The event started off with the much coveted Pro-Am Apex Legends Exhibition which hosted an array of gaming enthusiasts, ranging from influencers to fans and even the e-sports champions. The exhibition was trailed along with the EXP Invitational – Apex Legends which will be conducted at X Minneapolis on August 2nd and 3rd, 2019. Here, 20 of the best Apex legends are going to be fighting their way to win the grand prize of $150,000.
Republic of Gamers, otherwise known as ROG, has been the proud sponsor of the inaugural event which was conducted in May 2019 at the Collegiate E-sports Championship. They are continually going to supply the upcoming events with the much needed gaming hardware for the competitions.
The competitors are believed to be competing their way on the two most popular gaming models by ASUS – ROG Strix GL12CX gaming desktops and ROG Swift PG248Q gaming monitors.
In a recently conducted interview, Kevin Lopes, director of business development, ESPN said that they are elated to have ASUS as their key hardware sponsor for their first EXP e-sports event series. This is believed to enhance the overall experience of the fans and the athletes and provide them with an immaculate viewing and quality experience like no other.
This upcoming event is to highlight and bring the importance and significance of e-sports to the foreground. These events are also going to available for streaming on multiple platforms, including the official ESPN app. Apart from that, a tape delayed show including some of the highlights and important segments of the event is going to be aired on ESPN and ABC for later viewing.
This is not the first event that ROG is sponsoring. It has also sponsored several other accessory gaming events including PAX, Dreamhack, ESL One etc. in the past to bring together the importance of the gaming industry.
Vivian Lien, Global Head of Marketing for the Gaming Systems Business Group, said that the main motive and objective behind ROG is to boost the prospect of competitive gaming. She further stated that the main reason why Republic of Gamers by ASUS was developed was to focus on providing the gamers with elite and immaculate equipments for their gaming needs.
