Reports suggest that Razer has a new laptop currently in the works, integrated with the latest AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060.
According to a new report from a renowned Twitter account, @_rogame, it suggests that Razer is likely going to put a stop to their range of Intel integrated device launches and is going to make a switch to the latest AMD mobile processors instead.
The recent news suggests that there is a Razer laptop in the works and is going to feature the combination of AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. Rogame further mentioned that the new device will likely features a 14-inch display panel but didn’t mention the panel type or the refresh rate of the display.
However, this mystery Razer device that is currently in the developing process does come with a few odd configurations. Currently, there are only a few devices in the market that run on the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, including the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE GX551QS and Asus ROG Strix G15 G513QR.
Reviews about the processors suggest that the Cezanne processor generally works the best with some of the high-end Ampere cards. There are chances that the GeForce RTX 3060 can interfere with the faster AMD silicon.
However, if these rumors are true and there is actually a Razer laptop in the works featuring the coveted AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and the latest NVIDIA graphics card, chances are that this would suffice years of wait of the fans who have been clamouring for an AMD-powered Razer notebook. The initial hints about the AMD CPUs for the new laptops emerged back in the end of September, 2019.
