With the new year approaching, brands are gearing up with their new launches and LG and not behind. There has been a multitude of speculations concerning the upcoming LG Gram 2021’s 16-inch variant.
This next Gen. laptop series is now available in South Korea, a lot earlier than anticipated. The first peak into the device was revealed from a recent leak on Twitter depicts a few recent details about the 16-inch SKU from the Gram series from LG.
LG has already substituted their existing 15-inch SKU with their 16-inch variant with an ultralight and portable design. Alongside this new version of the device in the Gram series, there are some other variants that might make a debut in the OEM’s native market.
The leak about the specs of the upcoming version of the LG Gram was displayed on a Twitter account with a handle of @cozyplanes. According to the leaks on this account, the new LG Gram 16 was likely going to be equipped with the latest 11th Gen. Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU. There have been no specific mentions of the discrete graphics in the device.
Another part of the specs that was leaked state that the device will likely feature 256GB SSD for storage along with 8GB RAM for memory options. As for the design of the upcoming Gram 16, LG has designed the device with a stunning shiny white lid with an additional bottom panel. Even the insides and the keyboard of the device will likely feature the same finish.
As for the I/O ports in the device, it is allegedly going to be equipped with the necessary HDMI port, SuperSpeed USB Type-A ports, along with Thunderbolt and USB Type-C ports along with the 3.5 mm jack. The device is also integrated with a microSD card slot. The device is also likely going to support a Type-C charger.
But that is not all. With the launch of the LG Gram 16 finally, it is not surprising that the device packs in a lot more than what the leaks suggested. Aside from the correct processor information, the device also runs on the 64-bit Windows 10 operating system.
While the leaked information on the Twitter account didn’t mention the graphics configuration, the official specifications suggest that the device is backed by the Intel Iris Xe graphics. The device also features a stunning 40.6 cm IPS LED display. As for the processor, it the processor runs at a Turbo boost function of 4.2GHz.
As for the keyboard in the latest LG Gram 16, the device features a stunning backlit full-size 97 keys keyboard with three distinct rows with the numeric keys. The 80Whr battery in the device assures long-lasting battery without giving up on you midway.
The LG Gram 16 is integrated with the latest Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 wireless connectivity option. If you are particular about the security solutions in the device, it is designed with a separate fingerprint sensor that enables you to log into the device without any hassle.
One good thing about this latest device is that it comes with an expansion slot for the storage, so if you need more storage after the 256GB SSD, it is possible for you to expand it accordingly.
The Twitter account, Tron, further states that the device is likely going to be priced somewhere around $1980. But, there has been no official information concerning the price of the device yet.
