Rumors around the 2022 updates are already drumming up much hype. Stunning new cameras, long awaited 5G functionality for the iPhone SE, A16 4nm Bionic processors—all rumored to come at the lowest prices ever according to Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo.

Most Affordable 6.7” iPhone Ever
Recent price projections say that Apple plans to position prices at the lowest ever for a 6.7” premium model phone. Kuo claims that Apple looks to place the price tag on their upcoming iPhone 14 Pro at under $900 (USD).
iPhone 14 Design
As more light about spec details concerning of the upcoming iPhone 13s shines through, it is becoming common knowledge that the design of the 2022 iPhone 14 will remain largely unchanged from the current 12 model. However, there are rumors of some alterations sprouting on the digital grapevine.

Current Apple iPhone 14 Leaks
The first rumor deals with changes to the front camera, reported to be greatly reduced in size. And some say that Apple might even go so far to theorize that, with this size reduction, Apple may eliminate the notch all together.
Ming-Chi Kuo hypothesizes that in leu of the notch, Apple will instead use a hole-punch camera. But some have commented on potential issues this might cause to the facial recognition security feature. Some experts claim that this problem will be combated by the invention and installment of under-display fingerprint recognition technology in 2022.
Further Improvements to the iPhone 14 Camera
Perhaps the most anticipated update to the iPhone 14 is its rear camera technology. Kuo claims that the standard rear cameras of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be upgraded to 48-megapixel wide lenses, as well as seeing an additional upgraded special periscope zoom lens—similar to what is found on Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra.
It remains unsaid if Apple plans to add these features to the standard 14 model, but they will likely feature on the Pro and Pro Max.
And this isn’t even the end of speculated camera updates. Reports fuel the belief that Apple is preparing each model of the 14 series to support 8k recording—a first for Apple iPhones.
Updated iPhone 14 Processer
Some project that Apple may leap to a 3nm processor in 2022. However, according to analysts, this is unlikely. Instead, most reports point to updates over the iPhone 12’s current A14 5nm, and the predicted A15 processor of the upcoming iPhone 13, to a A16 4nm Bionic processor that will greatly increase performance.
