The new HP ENVY x2 is another master piece gadget produced by the reputable Hewlett and Packard (HP) Company. The device is almost a replica version of the new Microsoft Surface Pro, in that they both give a 2 in 1 experience (laptop and tablet) to their users but the striking difference is that while the Microsoft Surface is run on an Intel chip as common in many devices, the ENVY x2 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chips; a paradigm shift.
The device is 6.9mm thin with 0.7 kg weight without the case and 1.21 kg with the case, which makes it incredibly light, handy and mobile with a sharp and clean design that is wrapped in a complete premium metal body. It has its Oxford Blue adjustable magnetic case neatly wrapped around it. The detachable folio has a hinge design and it connects the 12.3 inches screen to the keyboard to achieve the laptop and tablet experience.

The ENVY x2 is 4G LTE connectivity compliant and has the Qualcomm Snapdragon x16 modem integrated to it which makes it easy to enjoy a swift and smooth connection with fast downloads anywhere you go. The 4G LTE connection and the portability of the gadget give the user freedom to take notes, reply and send mails, connect to social media and many more.
One of the main high-points of the device is that it promises up to 20 hours video playback and 700 hours of connected stand-by-time. That is a pretty long life span; in fact the longest-lasting windows 10 device compared to any Intel-based HP laptops. The good news for local videos viewers is that with the HP fast charge, you get 90% power in 90 minutes, if you are charging your ENVY x2 battery from 0%. This literarily means for every minute (1 min) you get 1% power.

It has a HD digital pen which can be used to write, draw and navigate the device at the same time just like that of the Windows Surface Pro and the Lenovo Yoga Book. The pen alongside the WINDOW INK feature offers variety of shadings and coloring effects which is good for professional artists and anyone that wants to learn painting without getting their hands stained by inks.
Although it has all the necessary ports such as the micro SD slot, sim card slot combo jack and the volume rocker, the device also has only a single USB-C port. HP should have done better by providing at least 2 USB ports for more access by external devices.
The dual audio speakers is powered by Bang and Olufsen the master producers of high-end audio products. So expect to hear clean audio sounds with of course a booming base background while listening to your favorite singer or viewing videos.
With all this great features backed up with its mobility, speedy connectivity and an exceptional battery life, HP Excel x2 is the device to go for this 2018. It is good for both small business and personal use.
The price and shipping date have not been announced yet but we expect that the price will be a bit high taking note of the advanced features and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chips which is quite new in HP tabs game. Speculators are forecasting that the price will be similar to the Asus NovaGo- the other device with the Qualcomm Snapdragon which starts at $599.
