Gaming laptops are abundant in the market. With some of the leading tech brands introducing their new launches, it is hard for others to keep up with the rising demand. Avid gamer are now looking for devices that integrate the latest features and at the same time looks pretty unique as well.
Dell has finally unveiled two of their latest launches – the Alienware Area-51m R2 and m17 R3.
Alienware Area-51m R2
The Alienware Area-51m R2 is the successor to the currently available Area-51m. According to the specifics, it looks like the device has undergone a lot of improvements and changes. The main striking feature about the device that stands out is the highest refresh rate panel in the device.
Unlike the previous model, Dell has this time assured its users that the new Area-51m R2 is going to be powered by the combination of 10th Gen. Intel Comet Lake Core i9 CPU along with Nvidia GeForce RTX GPU for effortless performance and productivity.
The latest processors come with 10-core, 20-thread chip with a boost clock at 5.3GHz. The CPU options are still vague and have not been clarified by Dell yet. But, it is likely that the device will sport a desktop CPU.
The 360Hz refresh rate display will come with a 1920×1080 pixels screen resolution, which is full high definition. This is one of the first gaming laptops with the 360Hz refresh rate display.
According to the reports, the device is also going to sport the 12-phase “HyperEfficient Voltage Regulation”. This is first in a laptop that will prevent any risks for uninterrupted performance of the device.
In terms of the device and build, the latest Area-51m model is more or less like its predecessor. It has all the input/output ports along with the similar build that ensures better durability of the device. Further details around the same is going to be disclosed in the days to come.
Alienware m17 R3
The new refreshed version of the Alienware m17 R3 is hands down one of the best, especially when talking about the display and the refresh rate panel of the device.
The prior configurations of the device witnessed the refresh panel maxing out at 300Hz with a 1080p screen resolution. For this one though, the device has undergone a significant upgrade with the refresh rate being bumped up to 360Hz.
As for the processors and performance of the device, it is going to feature the Intel Core i9-10980HK along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super GPU. So, in case you were expecting RTX 3000 GPU, this is not going to happen this time around.
The storage and memory options in this device is up to 4TB SSD with 32GB RAM. The device also needs all the computing power for you to experience the 360-fps quality in a few of the games that you play.
Another upgrade in the device that Dell has announced is with the Alienware Cryotech cooling technology that keeps the device functioning optimally.
Pricing and Availability
Dell has not unveiled the details concerning the pricing and the other launch specifics about the device. The brand has assured that further details about the devices will be available in the coming days.
As for the pricing of the Alienware m17 R3, it is likely not going to be a lot given the fact that only the display of the device has been upgraded.
