Dell has recently unleashed their newest addition to the XPS laptop series with the XPS 15 and XPS 17, featuring some impressive specifications and a sleek design for heightened portability.

The unique selling point of this new device has to be the 15.6” Infinity Edge display featuring narrow bezels and premium design for business officials.

The XPS 15 is powered by up to the 11th Gen. Intel Core i9 processors, integrated with the standard Intel UHD graphics in the lower tier models. The one with the core i9 processor is integrated with the superior mobile NVIDIA RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti GPU that offer incredible gaming performance like no other.

Even with all the best processors and features, the XPS 15 is catered more towards the content creators and the general users who want a new device for superior performance and unhinged entertainment. Aside from that, Dell has also built a few Creator edition configurations with NVIDIA creator to encourage content creation and superior performance.

All the models of the XPS 15 are equipped with the stunning 16:10 aspect ratios along with HDR display with Dolby Vision and 400 nits brightness for crisp and realistic visuals with vibrant color reproduction. This is ideal for the users who indulge in streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

As for the display, the lowest spec includes the 15.6” FHD display with 1200p screen resolution, however the superior versions come with an UHD display with 2400p screen resolution and 500 nits brightness. Another unusual configuration is with the 3.5K OLED touch display with 400 nits brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

Much like the previous versions or other laptops from the brand, even the XPS 15 is made with high-grade CNC aluminum chassis with carbon fiber on the palm rest along with the protective Gorilla glass 6 shield on the display. The device weighs between 3.99 to 4.42 pounds, depending on the configuration of the device.

Dell XPS 17

Another device launched with the XPS 15 is the superior XPS 17. Even this one is powered by the latest 11th Gen. Intel Core processors and is claimed to be the smallest 17-inch laptop in the market, measuring 19.5 mm in thickness.

Like the device launched last year from Dell, even XPS 17 is integrated with the Dual Opposite Outlet for superior thermal management for improved skin temperatures and enhanced airflow.

Aside from the latest CPU options, the XPS 17 is integrated with up to RTX 3060 GPU with 4GB VRAM for unhinged performance like no other. These are a little heavy compared to the XPS 15 and weight between 4.87 to 5.34 pounds.

For display, there are two available options, including the 17-inch display with 1200p screen resolution and the other one with 2400p screen resolution and 500 nits brightness. Both the choices of display panels come with the Dolby Vision HDR.

As for storage and memory, the devices are equipped with up to 64GB RAM along with 4TB SSD for storage requirements. The XPS 17 is also integrated with all the needed I/O ports that you’d need for superior connectivity and communication.

Pricing and Availability

The Dell XPS 15 is going to be available this summer at a starting price of $1,250.00

The Dell XPS 17 is also expected to arrive this summer at a starting price of $1,450.00.

Both the devices will likely be available on Dell’s official website along with the registered resellers in the available countries.
