10 Best Amazon Prime Early Access Gaming Laptop Deals 2022

It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to get the best frame rates possible or you also want a crispy-high resolution to go alongside that. During the prime early access sale, you can get anything from budget FPS-focused laptops to full-on high-performance powerhouses that can handle almost anything you throw at them.

All mentioned laptops (below) have a great port selection, good cooling solutions, and excellent Wi-Fi connectivity (Wi-Fi 6 and above). I’m skipping over the battery as you’ll need to plug it in to get the best gaming performance anyway. Instead, I’m going to focus on the core specs as those are going to matter the most.

1. Acer Predator Triton 500 SE (SAVE $300)

Acer has always focused on the overall value proposition over bringing the most premium components together. While the Predator Triton 500 SE is a slight detour from that philosophy, it still follows that mantra to deliver excellent performance for a considerably lower price compared to its mainstream competition.

The variant I’m recommending, comes equipped with Intel’s 12th-gen Core i7-12700H and the NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti.

However, what makes it extra special is its 16-inch (2560×1600, 16:10) 240Hz IPS-LCD display making this one of the fastest gaming laptops at its segment.

Combine that with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, and you get an excellent top-tier gaming laptop, while not spending way too much.

Of course, there are better configurations available with more RAM, more Storage, and even a Core i9 with RTX 3080, but then the value of this laptop decreases a lot. So, if you’re going with this laptop, stick with the configurations I’ve mentioned or choose something else.

2. ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 (SAVE $200)

For those who are looking for something even more powerful, ASUS has some crazy good stuff in their ROG line-up, and the 2022 Strix Scar 15 is the one I’d recommend. It has the capability to be the dream gaming machine while still not costing a fortune.

I’m recommending the Core i9-12900H variant this time around and it is paired with a freakin’ RTX 3080. Alongside that, you’re getting 16GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. The display is a 15.6-inch (2560×1440, 16:9) IPS-LCD panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time.

There is also an RTX 3080 Ti variant that also comes with 32GB of RAM, but again that increases the price a lot. So, for the majority of the gamers out there, the RTX 3080 variant is going to make more sense.

3. Alienware m15 R7 (SAVE $270)

If you need something more subtle that doesn’t really scream gamer in a public place, but still has excellent performance with good pricing, Dell’s Alienware m15 R7 is the one for you. It offers a very similar performance to the Triton 500 SE, and you still get all the RGB goodness, but in a way more stealthy form factor.

The i7-12700H variant has the RTX 3070 Ti for graphics power alongside 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a slightly smaller 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. The 15.6-inch (2560×1440, 16:9) QHD IPS display is excellent for gaming with a 240Hz refresh rate and great colors.

If you want to save more money, you can even get this one with an RTX 3060. That gives you slightly reduced gaming performance, but if you’re okay with that, save the extra cash. There is also an AMD Ryzen 9 6900X option alongside an Intel Core i9-12900H variant that also upgrades the GPU to the RTX 3080, but these also cost more.

4. Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58-725A (SAVE $200)

Some gamers won’t need industry-leading features and they want something cheaper that has enough power to shine in FPS games. If that sounds like you, the Acer Nitro 5 is going to be a great sweet spot between price and performance. It keeps a lot of the good stuff of the more premium offerings from the company while cutting a few corners here and there to achieve a much lower price.

I do recommend the i7-12700H model that comes with the RTX 3600. It has 16GB of slightly slower DDR4 RAM with 512GB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage which is fine for the price. The 15.6-inch (1920×1080, 16:9) FHD IPS display has a 144Hz refresh rate with a 3ms response time. That means FPS games are going to fly on this laptop and while the display won’t be as appalling visually as the premium devices above, it’s pretty good for gaming.

5. HP Omen 17 17-ck1010nr (SAVE $180)

Need a bigger display while keeping the lower budget proposition intact? The HP OMEN 17 has you covered. It has a somewhat similar performance to the Nitro while featuring a more mainstream design and of course, a larger display. The value proposition of this laptop is excellent.

You’re getting the i7-12700H with the RTX 3060 as you may hope, but it does have 16GB of faster DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD. The 17.3-inch (1920×1080, 16:9) FHD IPS display is again isn’t an accuracy miracle or anything, but you do get a 144Hz refresh rate with a slightly slower 7ms response time, so keep that in mind.

6. Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-56-70XJ (SAVE $200)

Ready to give some of those muted looks up for a more mainstream gamer look? Then the Acer Predator Helios 300 is going to be the better option for you. It still has the bigger display and similar specifications, but you get a faster response time, and you gain some thickness and weight alongside.

As you may have guessed, it has the i7-12700H with the RTX 3060, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 512GB SSD. However, the 17.3-inch (1920×1080, 16:9) display has a faster 3ms response time with a 144Hz refresh rate. Compared to the OMEN, the Helios 300 provides a better FPS gaming experience because of the faster response and more thermal headroom and you’ll give up on some weight & sleekness because of that.

7. MSI Titan GT77 (SAVE $250)

Moving towards more premium gaming laptops, the MSI Titan GT77 brings better CPU performance with more RAM and a 4K display. If you want to get more out of your gaming laptop and don’t mind spending a bit more to get it, this could very well be a great option for you.

It gets the higher-end Core i7-12800HX with the RTX 3070 Ti boosting both CPU and GPU intensive gaming performance. That pairs with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. You will need that extra performance for the 17.3-inch (3840×2160, 16:9) UHD IPS display which refreshes at 120Hz. This is also an extremely good looking device.

8. ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (SAVE $320)

If you want to get the best of what’s available in the premium gaming laptop space, it probably can’t get much better than the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16. This monster from ASUS comes with a freakin’ secondary display and top-notch specifications to make mobile gaming a bit more special.

The company has chosen the AMD Ryzen 6900HX for this one and paired it with the RTX 3070 Ti and if you spend a little more to get a 3080 Ti. It has 32GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage  (2TB with the 3080 Ti variant). The display is 16-inches (2560 x 1600, 16:10) QHD and uses the latest Mini LED tech for superior contrast alongside having a 165Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. The secondary display is a 14-inch (3840×1100) touchscreen.

9. MSI Raider GE67Hx (SAVE $150)

Getting into somewhere in the middle of super premium and affordable gaming laptops, the Raider GE67Hx from MSI has the best of both worlds. Excellent performance, a good display, and reasonable pricing are why you may want to consider this one instead.

It comes with the i7-12800H, RTX 3070 Ti, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. The 15.6-inch (2560×1440, 16:9) QHD IPS display has a 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. For the price, this laptop is going to be an excellent performer for most gamers.

10. HP Victus 16 16-d1010nr (SAVE $170)

For gamers who don’t need their laptop to look like a gaming machine at all, the HP Victus 16 is a great option. It has zero hints of gaming DNA, but comes with powerful internals and weighs a little less both literally and financially. It doesn’t even have RGB if you’re wondering.

best gaming laptop prime early access

Inside, you’re getting the i7-12700H, RTX 3060, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. The 16.1-inch (1920×1080, 16:9) FHD IPS display has a refresh rate of 144 Hz alongside having a 7ms response time. So, your day-to-day gaming needs should mostly be covered here.

That’s going to be all. Choose what fits you the best and get yourself a new gaming laptop while Amazon runs these amazing offers during the Prime Early Access Sale!
