ASUS finally launched their “Pilot the Future” program encouraging further education of the K-12 students with their new added education-focused ASUS BR1100C laptop. The launch was declared at CES 2021.

Prolonging on the same, ASUS North America reported that they are kicking off this campaign in some of the select K-12 schools in North America where these schools will be receiving 30 ASUS BR1100C laptops to help students adapt well to remote learning and also classroom-based learning.

The tech brand further enunciated saying that the students will be considered for the opportunity when the school faculty share a video of them talking about the measures their schools are taking in preparing the students for enhanced collaboration, both in-person and in their homes. They also need to emphasise how these laptops can further help promote better learning for the students.

Depending on the submissions, ASUS is going to shortlist the ones they deem best and the same with be forwarded to community voting between March 5 to March 22, wherein the most voted schools will be considered for the program.

The Pilot the Future program has already initiated, with the company taking in submissions through February 26 after which the highest voted schools will be announced part of the program on March 29, 2021.

ASUS BR1100C – What we Know?

Coming to the pivotal part of the program, the ASUS BR1100C laptop. It has been designed and developed for optimal education of the students who don’t have the sustainable resources for the same. It is the ultimate learning tool from ASUS, featuring education-centered features to further boost the efficiency of the students like never before.

It features a 11.6” display and has been designed with sustain falls up to 47 inches. It has been designed with kids in mind, hence the entire boundary of the laptop is covered with rubber lining and bumper to ensure that the device doesn’t break apart. Since connectivity and capacity is also crucial for students to work with, the device is backed with the latest 4GB and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for optimal user experience and wireless connectivity options. The device is backed with 128GB eMMC and 1TB SSD for superior storage options like no other.

The device comes in with easy setup, making it easier for the IT admins and educators to maintain. The modular construction of the device is a bonus because it enables the individuals to get easier access to the key components of the device including the keyboard, battery and display panel.

The ASUS BR1100C also comes with a separate LED light on the lid that enables the educators to keep an eye out on the student’s laptop and whether they are having any issues with connectivity and the battery of the device.

Pricing and Availability

The ASUS BR1100C is likely going to be available in the first quarter of 2021 in North America. The price of the device hasn’t been disclosed yet.
