The model is also backed with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU with 175W Dynamic Boost that optimizes gaming power with real-time ray tracing, DLSS and Adaptive-Sync support.
While on the subject of Adaptive Syn, the Strix Scar 17 features Dolby Vision with 3ms overdrive response time for superior refresh rate that enables users to live through each frame in the game.
The display panel is further equipped with 1080p screen resolution and 360Hz refresh rate or with another option with 1440p screen resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. Both of these variants feature lightning-fast display.

Adaptive thermal solutions
ASUS has also improved the thermal solutions in the model featuring the exclusive Thermal Grizzly’s Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal for managing the processing power of the CPU and GPU.
The ultra-high thermal performance reduces the temperature by 15-degrees, which is a lot more compared to the staple thermal pastes available in other models.
The SCAR 17 Special Edition is also equipped with a vapor chamber that covers up to 48.8% of the hardware, tending to critical power delivery components in the model. The vapor chamber design in this model is made in a way to dissipate the heat evenly across the device, further adding to the comfortable user experience.
