Acer recently announced the launch of four new Chromebooks to their existing line-up, with different and modern designs and functions. The lineup also includes industry’s first 17-inch Chromebook Model, the Acer Chromebook 317. All these new devices are equipped with the latest functionalities to meet the rising demands of the users.
James Lin, General Manager, Notebooks, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. suggested that the introduction of the Chromebook 317 was hitting a milestone for Acer. Also, the addition of the new Acer Chromebook Spin 713 is going to further enunciate Acer’s Intel Evo platform journey.

Acer Chromebook 317
A one-of-a-kind device, the Acer Chromebook 317 is the industry’s first 17” Chromebook model. The wider 17.3” FHD display panel is integrated with an anti-glare coating and narrow bezels for superior display experience.
Also, the integration of the wider display with the latest technology webcam further facilities the video conferencing needs with flair and ease. The device also comes with an optional touchscreen model for the users who want enhanced flexibility.
The list of tale worthy features doesn’t stop there. The Chromebook 317 is integrated with a premium quality keyboard with a complimentary larger touchpad with integrated numeric keypad for superior performance. There is an optional backlit keyboard choice too.
The device is powered by the latest Intel Celeron processors with Wi-Fi 6 Gig+ connectivity for optimal performance needed by any kinds of users, be it a businessman or a student. The device is integrated with two USB Type-C ports with up to 10 hours battery life, which again is pretty impressive.
Acer Chromebook Spin 713 and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713
Another worthy mention to the lineup is the Acer Chromebook Spin 713. This is another step from Acer towards contributing to the Intel Evo platform. The device is powered by the latest 11th Gen. Intel core i7 processor with a premium-quality aluminum chassis for unhinged performance and durable finish.
Also, the presence of dual USB Type-C ports offers optimal connectivity along with the Thunderbolt 4 that helps with faster data transfer. The device is further integrated with a fingerprint reader that offers secure sign in to the device.
As for the display, the Chromebook Spin 713 is equipped with a compact 13.5” display with 1504p screen resolution and 18% vertical screen space. Weighing just 1.37 kgs, this device is ideal for users who are always on the go and don’t want to compromise on their work.
Acer Chromebook 514 and 314
The list of new launches also includes two new 14-inch display devices including the Chromebook 514 and 314.
The Chromebook 514 is powered by the 11th Gen. Intel core processor and supports up to 10 hours of battery life for maximum power and performance of the device. It is also integrated with the multifunctional Thunderbolt 4 port and reinforced metal top cover and streamlined design for military-grade durability like no other.
Also, the device comes with an additional Corning Gorilla glass touchpad for enhanced durability and next-level navigation like never before.
Coming to the Chromebook 314, this is yet another lightweight and premium quality Chromebook that weighs 1.5kg. Ideal for enhanced portability and superior performance, the device is powered by the MediaTek MT8183 octa-core processor, which is pretty unique for a Chromebook of this calibre.
The laptop is equipped with a 14” FHD IPS display with thin bezels for an immersive visual experience. Also, the optional touchscreen choice makes navigation a lot seamless and unhinged. The fully-functional Type-C port further boosts the overall connectivity of the device too.

The Acer Chromebook 317 is going to be available at a starting price of USD 379.99 and EUR 399 in North America and EMEA respectively.
The Acer Chromebook Spin 713 is going to be available at a starting price of USD 699.99 and EUR 769 in North America and EMEA respectively from June, 2021.
The Acer Chromebook 514 is going to be available at a starting price of USD 599.99 and EUR 549 in North America from October and EMEA from August respectively.
The Acer Chromebook 314 is going to be available at a starting price of USD 269.99 and EUR 329 in North America in July and Europe in August respectively.
