Not by fluke or a glitch, but the new Acer Aspire 5 A515 finally popped up on Amazon Italy for a budget friendly price of €779. The device is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U Lucienne APU and features a sleek design and portable design for individuals who are into remote working or traveling for their work.
While the AMD Ryzen 5000 Zen 3 processors are now available for purchase for the desktop variants, the mobile variants of the same named Cezanne and Lucienne were previously expected to be released sometime in January next year. The users were anticipating that only.
But, looks like the developers and manufacturers had something else in mind as the device featuring the Ryzen 5000 U-series processors is available on the Amazon Italy for a new Aspire 5 A515 listing from Acer.
As per the details on the product listing, the design and original chassis of the Acer Aspire 5 is not going to witness any drastic changes. The listing further suggests that the new Aspire 5 is going to feature 512GB SSD for storage along with 8GB RAM for seamless user experience.
For the display, the device is equipped with the standard 15.6” FHD IPS LCD display. It is also backed by the true wireless connectivity with the Wifi 6 2×2 that provides with 3x the faster connectivity and user experience. The Acer TrueHarmony Audio also ensures clarity in the audio as well.
The input-output ports are also quite extensive with the wide range of much needed ports including the HDMI-out, USB 3.1 Type-A. USB 2.0 Type-A and the USB 3.2 Type C ports with the 3.5 mm audio jack and RJ-45.
Reports does suggest that the mobile Ryzen APUs are going to feature the similar 5000-series features and functions like their desktop counterparts. But, it is clear that not every upcoming device will feature the same APUs. Some of them will be integrated with the Cezanne (Zen3) variant and some with the Lucienne (Zen2) parts.
In the listing on Amazon Italy, the Acer Aspire 5 is powered by the Ryzen 7 5700U with the 8C/16T Lucienne SKU powered by 1.8GHz and 4.3GHz base and boost clocks.

During the first time that the listing was spotted on Amazon Italy, the price point for the device was featured at €779. But, with the growing widespread of the news, the device has now been made unavailable.
The sudden change in the status is pointing that the listing wasn’t supposed to go up and it is likely that Acer might be unveiling the new Aspire 5 at CES 2021. And, if that is correct, the device is going to be available sometime around April and June, 2021.
