While the 2020 version of the HP Envy X360 15 created a rave among the users, especially due to the amazing design and the Intel Comet Lake-U and AMD Renoir processor versions, looks like HP has an even bigger upgrade for their 2021 version of the device.
This year’s 2021 HP Envy X360 15 is upgraded with dual options of Intel Tiger Lake and AMD Lucienne processors along with a few design upgrades to the chassis of the device. It is also integrated with the superior Bang and Olufsen tuned speakers on either side of the keyboard deck instead of the standard speakers that were available in the 2020 version.
Another change in design to the 2021 version of the Envy X360 15 is in the design and shape of the trackpad. The touchpad area in the latest version is 19% larger compared to the 2020 version of the device.
Integrated with the AMD Ryzen 5000-U Lucienne
The reports suggest that HP has two Envy X360 15 SKUs that are powered by the Ryzen 5000-U Lucienne processor – the Envy x360 eu15m-eu0013dx and eu15m-eu0023dx. While both these devices more or less come with the same range of features, there are slight modifications that the users need to be aware of.
The 15m-eu0013dx is integrated with 256GB SSD for storage and is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U APU. The 15m-eu0023dx, on the other hand, is integrated with 512GB SSD for storage along with AMD Ryzen 7 5700U chipset for superior functions. Both the devices are backed with 8GB RAM for superior memory functions and optimal multitasking.
As for the display and the other general configurations of the device, both of the variants are integrated with 15.6” FHD IPS touchscreen display with 250 nits brightness and 45% NTSC color range. If needed, the buyers can also opt for the 4K OLED display panel for superior visual experience.
Integrated with the Intel Tiger Lake Chipset
Another variant of the upgraded HP Envy X360 15 is integrated with the latest Intel Tiger Lake variants. Much like the AMD counterparts, even the 15m-es0013dx and 15m-es0023dx run on Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7 processors respectively.
The standard specifications of the devices are pretty much the same as we mentioned for the Ryzen counterparts. However, the Intel variants do come with a few differences in the features that are worth mentioning.
The Intel variant is integrated with Wi-Fi 6 AX201 for seamless wireless connectivity. The core i5 variant is integrated with 256GB SSD for storage while the core i7 variant is integrated with 512GB SSD for storage and 12GB dual-channel memory options. The Intel version is integrated with Thunderbolt 4 port for heightened connectivity and data transfer of 40Gbps while the AMD version comes with a maximum of 10Gbps data transfer via the Type-C port.
Although there are no confirmed news or mention about the same, the 2021 HP Envy X360 15 will also likely feature the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics with all the latest innovations and features for superior user experience.
